Change the Font Size of PowerPoint Notes in Just 2 Steps! (PowerPoint 2016)

Not many knew that the font size of PowerPoint notes (also known as speaker notes) can be adjusted. Well, I used to be one of them until I accidentally discovered how I can change the font size of the PowerPoint notes in just two steps!

To illustrate, here’s an example of the default font size in a new presentation:

When I tried to highlight the text and increase the font size in the Notes pane, nothing happens. No matter what I did, it just wouldn’t change!

And here’s how you can change the font size in just two steps!

1.  Place your cursor anywhere in the Notes pane.

2.  Hold down the Ctrl key and scroll up to increase the font size.

That’s it! Easy-peasy huh?! ;)

    1. Hi Rosa, I’m sorry that doesn’t work for you. Perhaps, can you describe in detail what steps you have taken? Also, what version of the PowerPoint are you using?

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I must have done the opposite because I opened my presentation and my notes were unreadably small. This trick fixed it and saved me from a LOT of rework.
