Some of us prefer the old fashion way of comparing two documents side by side to see the difference rather than using the track changes feature. Well, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this method! Here’s how:
1. Open the two documents. Make sure that these two documents are at page one, or at the same page number where you want to begin comparing.
2. Place your cursor either in the first or second document. Then, on the View tab, in the Window group, click View Side by Side.

3. Both Word documents are automatically arranged in two views so that when you scroll down (or up), both pages are moving simultaneously.

Simple, isn’t it? :)
