Insert / Delete Comments (PowerPoint 2007)

It is common to insert comments in a Word document when the document is being reviewed by several people. Well, you can do the same for a PowerPoint slide.

1.  Click the Review tab and select New Comment from the Comments group.

2.  A tiny comment box with your initials (well, in this case, it’s my initials) and a comment number appears on the slide together with a bigger box on the right (with my name PERRIN and the date 7/18/2012). Type your comments into the box.

3.  When you’re done typing the first comment, click anywhere on the slide (as long as it is outside of the box) to close it. Repeat the steps above to enter your second and third comment. Note that you can see the tiny boxes after you’re done entering the comments.

4.  To view your comments, move your mouse pointer over the tiny box (or click on the tiny box). The bigger comment box will automatically appear on the right.

5.  To delete a particular comment, e.g., PDR1, click the PDR1 tiny box and press the Delete button on your keyboard. Alternatively, click the Review tab and select Delete from the Comments group. Click Delete.
